PornX aims to get you through the door with a freebie offer of "5 TOKENS PER DAY".

And yet... my brand-new account started on 0 tokens. Zero. What you really get is 4 Base-quality image generations a day, tracked as a separate "Daily Generations" counter that never touches your token balance.

Confused? So was I!

Once you've got your head around the limitations, PornX is a seriously impressive AI porn image generator. It offers a bit of everything - Image, Video, Chat, Characters, Editing - but the media generative capabilities are the obvious standout. You can tweak pretty much everything: body type, style, skin tone, hair, outfits and backgrounds.

I set up my account and spent a couple of hours poking at the image generator, the video tool, the chat and the editor.

How does it stack up? Let's take a look!

Signing up and the free allowance

The age gate is a simple Confirm click. Other sites have gotten more stringent with ID checks (particularly here in Europe), but there's no faffing around on PornX.

Before signing up I tried to generate as a guest, because the homepage says you can generate without registering. Nope. Hitting Generate opened the login modal straight away. Only X Sweet was unlocked anyway, and the High and Best quality settings were locked.

Signup is with a Google associated account - or any ordinary email.

After signing up, my balance read 0 tokens. The account menu then showed "Daily Generations 2 / 4 remaining" after my first two images, with "Resets in 11h 56m". So the real free deal is 4 Base images a day, full stop, and the "5 TOKENS PER DAY" on the Premium page is just... wrong.

Tokens come from elsewhere. There's a 7-day login streak paying +1, +2, +2, +3, +3, +4 and +5, which is 20 tokens if you show up every day for a week. I claimed day 1 and went from 0 to 1 token. Day 2 greeted me with a 23:59:58 countdown. There's also a "Get 20 Tokens now / Connect Discord" offer in the menu.

Spot the number 20? That's exactly what a video costs. I don't think that's a coincidence!

The image generator

The free model is X Sweet, tagged LATEST. The rest of the picker - X Desire, X Vision, X Fantasy, X Pixel, X Flat, X Wonder - sits firmly behind the paywall. Unfortunately the site only gives these in-house names, and I didn't find any reference to what models they actually are under the hood.

Free users are stuck on Base quality, which is notably more error-prone than the premium version (which I eventually got my hands on).

There are various person presets you can use as shortcuts. I picked one called Ash Burden, set 7:9, and typed "photorealistic woman, 28 years old, nude, lying on a bed in a bedroom, soft morning light, detailed skin, looking at camera".

Each image came back in about 5-10 seconds, which is actually pretty damn quick. No tokens deducted, btw, just a tick off the daily counter.

Then there's the "Generate privately" toggle, which is locked. Its tooltip says "Private Generation keeps your output off the public gallery" - so the flip side is that your free creations aren't kept off it. Your free image is basically the site's free advertising. Think about that before you type anything you wouldn't want strangers scrolling past!

How the images actually look

Both images were fully nude and explicit. PornX doesn't mess about in this department.

They're decent photoreal, but airbrushed and glossy, with that generic AI face that practically screams AI. Skin like a freshly waxed car bonnet. Eyes that seem to operate independently.

Anatomy was plausible but the hands were fucked ("hello extra fingers!"). It was only when I got to the premium models that we got beyond passable AI fodder.

One annoying quirk was that the Ash Burden preset steamrolled my prompt and gave her pink hair. I didn't ask for pink hair. If the preset wins every argument, what's the prompt box for?

And, yes, slapped on every free image is a visible PORNX watermark.

Video

Video is priced at 20 tokens a go, making it effectively a premium feature. You can choose between vertical or horizontal ratio, and there's a video quality slider for good measure.

I explored a whole bunch of user created videos and the results were very high quality.

PornX is a dedicated AI porn generator, so you'd expect it to be delivering cutting edge videos and images. While the images are kinda mid, the video clips - while short, just a few seconds long - are super crisp and realistic.

Little AI micro-tells like fixed eye contact and locked facial expressions have been improved with the latest models. Many of the clips could pass quite easily on a site like RedGIFs... or when scrolling through the adult rabbit holes of X.

Grind the 7-day login streak and you'll have enough tokens for exactly one clip. Use it wisely!

Chat

PornX excels with its generative capabilities... but everybody is bolting on AI companions these days, and they clearly didn't want to miss out.

I chatted with Nora, billed as an Undercover MILF. She's flirty and sexual, resists a bit at first, then escalates into explicit asterisk-style roleplay. The chat was a bit repetitive, but I didn't spend much time on this part of the site.

About 9 messages went through without hitting a paywall or costing a token. (No free images in chat, though.)

Premium lists a "Pro chat model" and "Unlimited chat messages", so expect the free chat to get the squeeze at some point.

Editing and characters

There is an edit tool which gave me a "Choose image" picker and not much else to look at for free.

The character creator is a 4-step wizard that starts with Realistic or Anime. Premium includes "5 free character creations /mo", so this is clearly meant as a paid toy.
